Grief tending residential at High Heathercombe

We welcome you to this possibility, of being part of a space to tend your grief, and be present with each other’s grief, the planet’s grief as best we can. Up on the edge of the moor, held by the ancient land, the bony hills and slender trees, we gather as a community to tend our Grief.

We come together to work with each other and the land, we build “riverbanks” to support the flow of our grief. In whichever form, be it rage, sorrow, emptiness, frustration. And where feelings of joy and grace and love—so often deeply intertwined with our grief, also have a place and can flow.

The door for different experiences, expressions and forms of grief is open and they are honoured and tended as they arrive… present and past loss, your sorrows for the world, for other beings—human and beyond human, pain come down from ancestors and community, from culture, harm you have caused to your self or others… what feels hot and present, what feels numb and distant. All is welcome.

We come together to build riverbanks through beauty, nature, practices to awaken warmth, tenderness and connection. And between them grief can flow.

In this four-day gathering we can more spaciously tend our grief, dipping in and out of the waters, exploring different practices of expressing and witnessing, recognising the different ways that are more accessible to different people. We invite the possibilities of movement and body, sound, music, song, words, silence, nature…

Tended with others in a space of beauty and care, grief can be a restoring, healing presence, weaving us back into the wider field of being human.

“The time we spent together was nourishing. This grief tending workshop was a revelation to me. I found out a lot about myself. You provide a safe loving space to learn about grief and about your own grief. I loved every minute of it.” – AB, 3-day participant

If your grief feels large, or stuck, or you just would like the expansiveness of a spacious journey we recommend this tending.
